Mars is a future themed campground in Southern California near Bombay Beach on the Shores of the Salton Sea. Mars shares many of the Burningman Principles especially radical self reliance. In addition to these Mars has an emphasis on long term sustainability and using technology appropriately to satisfy our needs and live gloriously.
The Center Camp on Mars has free wifi, electricity sufficient for running laptops and charging devices, several screening areas, conference rooms, ping pong and other recreational activities.
People camping in Mars can either join a theme camp or stay in our open camping area. We provide a number of services to theme camps including

- Landfill
- Green Waste
- Compost Toilet Service
- Solar Service
Camps are encouraged to embrace our theme of a radically optimistic future. Camps that don’t sufficiently comply with these guidelines will be quarantined assimilation camp until they are invited into one of the other areas.
Mars will be open from November 1, 2019 until May 1, 2020. While our intention is to do this as an annual gathering we have not decided yet on our dates for next season.
